Sports Coaches provide leadership, organization, and supervision for all aspects of the Rocky Mount Preparatory School Athletics program to ensure a competitive and successful program that follows all rules and regulations.
Sports Coach Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate weekly and work in conjunction with the Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic to ensure the health and safety of the Student-Athletes.
Direct the planning and coaching of practice sessions.
Develop game/meet strategy and position assignments.
Manage all Student-Athletes in a professional respectful way.
Oversee recruitment of prospective Student-Athletes.
Keep accurate records and documentation in compliance with the NCHSAA.
Manage other program operations as necessary
Help identify opportunities for new products to serve customers
- Compliance with NCHSAA rules and regulations and all other rules outlined in the school code of conduct
- Potential coaches must complete any coaching education courses required to become eligible in their specific sport
- Must be able to obtain CPR Certification (EWA funded)
- Must be trained on EWA Emergency Action Plan Procedures
- Driver’s License
Sports Coach Qualifications
At least 2+ years of experience in the area of coaching
Must pass a background check
Valid Driver License.
