Position Description

POSITION TITLE:                  North Carolina Education Corps K - 5 Literacy Tutor

FLSA:                                     Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:                High School diploma and some college preferred

                                             Experience working with children

REPORTS TO:                        Campus Contact

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:     Varies throughout the calendar school year

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

              1. Provide high-impact literacy tutoring to K - 5 elementary school scholars

              2. Conduct small group instruction based on research-based literacy curricula

              3. Improve academic growth and improve proficiency through data driven instruction

              4. Commit to full-time or part-time work hours

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 

              1. Attend training and support group functions

              2. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, and materials

              3. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records
